Just when she thought she had life and love all figured out…

Divorce attorney Harper James can’t catch a break. Bad enough that she runs into her ex-hubby, Nick, at her sister’s destination wedding, but now, by a cruel twist of fate, she’s being forced to make a cross-country road trip with him. And her almost-fiancĂ© back at home is not likely to be sympathetic.

Harper can’t help that Nick has come blazing back into her life in all of his frustratingly appealing, gorgeous architect glory. But in Nick’s eyes, Harper’s always been the one. If they can only get it right this time, forever might be waiting—just around the bend.

Yani's Analysis:
First off, the dedication in this book is the most heartwarming dedication I have ever read. I usually skip through them, but I am glad this one caught my eye.

Divorce attorney Harper James is one jaded character, constantly throughout the book she advocates divorce and cutting ties rather than working things out.
"Divorce is just the euthanization of a dying relationship."
Harper has many clever lines like this throughout the novel. All logic, no emotion... like a young Dr. Brennan from Bones, except a lawyer.

The story of the jaded Ms. Harper is told in a back and forth narrative from present time, to her youth and what led her to be so cold.

This story was laugh out loud funny, cute, and sexy, without feeling like an erotic novel. The moments in which they describe Harper and her first love touched my heart. Great Chick Lit novel with more heart and romance than the usual!
