TGIF - The First Edition

I am going to combine all the Friday Memes I participate into this one post, so that you the readers can get to know about me without me bombarding your feed reader.

TGIF is a feature over GReads to re-cap the week's posts  & to propose a question for all the followers.

This Friday's Question:
Characters We Love:
Which male and/or female character have you found yourself connected to most?

1. Calla from Nightshade -  I love her leader instincts, her sense of loyalty, her passion, and her curiosity. She is badass. I understood her wanting to break out of the world she was told was real and explore for herself what is the truth.
2. Belly from Summer I Turned Pretty - I like Belly for all the opposite reasons I liked Calla. I could connect with her because in one point in my life I was her. The girl in the group of boys always being left out. The girl with a crush on the wrong boy, that no matter what wouldn't go away. As I got to know her more and more in the series, I kept connecting to her situation and I understood why she did the things she did.
3. Rhine from Wither -  I don't know how I connected with her so well, one never having been in that situation and two not ever having a brother, but I could feel her pain when she talked of missing him. I was sucked into the world of Wither and Rhine was my tour guide.

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee.

What is the book you really don't want to admit to loving?

Well, I don't think I have ever been to scared or ashamed to admit to loving a certain book, but overall I do tend to hid the covers of my adult romantic books if I am reading them in public. I tend to read those every once in a while in between my young adult fiction sets. One of my favorites, has some mystery to it, is Lucky's Lady by Tami Hoag. I have read that one like 5 times.

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy For Books.
"Since today is April Fool's Day in the USA, what is the best prank you have ever played on someone OR that someone has played on you?"
Not really a pranker and my friends aren't really either. I can't even remember the last time a prank was played on me, probably in middle school. Kinda sad I can't remember. But Kiersten White played a good prank today by announcing her new book.

I know a lot of people that felt that way, I think people either really liked it or hated it.

At first I wasn't going to participate in this week's Book Blogger Hop. I'm not even sure why.

But here I am. And I'm glad! To dispel any false impressions people may have had about me being a old, stodgy fuddy-duddy I'm happy to share some of my very best pranks with you.

Highlights include - low-grade explosives, eggs and salt shakers. Get all the side-splitting details over on my blog - http://www.howardsherman.net

They date back to my younger years as a Brooklyn boy which brings about some introspection.

I'm going to go pull some pranks today. Look out world! I'm coming out of prankster retirement!

That is one good character listing for TGIF. I just added The Summer I turned Pretty to my Nook. I hope to get to this book sometimes is the near future.
