Teaser Tuesday #4

Hey guys, Jude Here. Yani's is still away so, Teaser Tuesday. I really ain't got that much to say 'cause I've been drowned in homework this week so I just started Die For Me. and am on page 25, but. Here's what I've got so fat :D

From Goodreads:

DIE FOR ME is the first of three books about Kate, a sixteen-year-old American who moves to Paris after the death of her parents. She finds herself falling for Vincent, who she discovers is not the typical French teenager he appears: he is something else entirely.

DIE FOR ME presents a new supernatural mythology presented in a city where dreams are sometimes the same as reality.

So far I've liked a lot the writing style of the author. it really does feel effortless and like I'm in Paris, and since I've been there - Yes, I am showing Of! :P - it has just been a delight to re-visit. And by page 25 I can already connect to Kate and feel her loss.

Here's my Favorite quote so far. it's Georgia talking to Kate (Georgia being her sister):

"It's not you who is dead," she said. "Mom and Dad are. And they would want you to live."

Die For Me comes out  May 10th 2011 :)

Teaser Tuesday #3

If you are a new follower or an old one there is one thing you should know about me, I have a huge weakness for tear-jerker love stories. It all started with Lurlene McDaniel, then moved on to Sarah Dessen, Elizabeth Scott, and some Nicholas Sparks novels. So I am super duper excited to be reading this week, Elizabeth Scott's new book, Between Here and Forever.
Abby accepted that she can’t measure up to her beautiful, magnetic sister Tess a long time ago, and knows exactly what she is: Second best. Invisible.

Until the accident.

Now Tess is in a coma, and Abby’s life is on hold. It may have been hard living with Tess, but it's nothing compared to living without her.

She's got a plan to bring Tess back though, involving the gorgeous and mysterious Eli, but then Abby learns something about Tess, something that was always there, but that she’d never seen.

Abby is about to find out that truth isn't always what you think it is, and that life holds more than she ever thought it could...
I am just on the first chapter and already I have an excellent line to share...
Between Here and Forever comes out May 4, 2011.

Teaser Tuesday #2

Imagine my delight yesterday, when Netgalley informed me that Delirium was available for me to read! Finally, after month of waiting, Delirium was in my hands (technically in my iPad) and I was able to read it. People, it does not dissappoint. And to tease you all a little bit, here is a snippet....

For the first time in my life I actually feel sorry for Carol. I'm only seventeen years old, and  already know something she doesn't know: I know that life isn't life if you just float on through. I know the whole point -  the only point - is to find the things that matter, and hold on to them, and fight for them, and refuse to let them go.

Delirium will be released on February 1, 2011.

Teaser Tuesday #1

I am currently finishing up Linger and starting up another book, but for today I though I would tease you with the same three sentences that had me knowing Linger was going to be even better than Shiver. For all of you that don't know what Shiver and Linger are, they are books in a series by Maggie Stiefvater. Check them out { here }

This is a love story. I never knew there were so many kinds of love or that love could make people do different things.

I never knew there were so many different ways to say goodbye.
